Profiles in #URiMedPhys: Pedro Martinez

My name is Pedro Martinez. I grew up in Havana, Cuba. I graduated with a B.Sc. In Nuclear physics and moved to Canada where I worked in industry for several years. Currently, I live and work in Calgary, Alberta. I graduated from the University of Calgary with an M.Sc. in medical physics. I am working as a medical physics assistant where I help to develop our suite of applications for Linac quality control and help with training and equipment commissioning. I love to develop scientific applications, volunteering and spending time with my family.
